7D High ISO Denoiser CS3 Action : Samples of images utilizing my new "7D ISO Denoiser" action set that has several CS3 actions, including a Noiseware step. This action works in Photoshop CS3 with the Noiseware plugin installed, but you could replace the Noiseware step with your own favorite noise removal tool, like Noise Ninja, etc. There are 3 actions, aggressive, medium, and light. The samples below were processed using the medium action. This was developed exclusively for the 7D, but would probably work well for images generated by other models as well. 7D vs 1D4 : Same lens on both cameras, set a custom WB on both independently. The 1D4 has been MA'd for exposure of +1/3, so the 7D was shot at 1/3 slower shutter to get the same exposure. These are out of camera JPGs (unless otherwise noted), the 7D has a more aggressive standard NR from the factory than the 1D4. The 7D is softer, and to get the same similar IQ as the 1D4, it requires noise removal (which further softens the image), then an aggressive sharpening is applied. This gets the 7D close to the 1D4, but you lose detail doing this.

5DII vs 7D High ISO : Comparison of a 7D and 5DII from ISO 3200 to 25600, same exposures for each, 2.8 constant lenses on each, just different FLs to get about the same FOV, both had high ISO disabled, both used the standard picture style, with no post processing.
